Last night we ended up watching the Dog Whisperer. It was just by chance that the whole show was about Cesar helping out two owners with bulldogs. Both had aggression issues with other dogs and one with people as well! The one dog, Hugo, ended up going to Cesar's home for several months since he required intense training and rehabilitation The owners of these two dogs were the best bulldog dads you could find and very devoted to their bullies. It just makes you wonder what goes wrong sometimes in a dogs thinking, They did explain that with Hugo, was attacked by another dog in doggy day care, that then carried over into him attacking other dogs. One must remember that bulldog genetics hold generations of dogs that were trained to fight. Ozzie is really a good boy and is more of a lover than a fighter, though except when it comes to his human brother Will. (Ozzie still does go after him from time to time, and we still can't figure it out!) Any one who is thinking of getting a b…
Sorry ...we are here! Just plain ole laziness not to post something for so long! Nala has been enjoying the nice weather and we just came in from an evening stroll. It takes us at least 40 minutes to go just around our block! Nala insists on stopping and waiting for people who happen to be walking behind us. She will literally sit her bum down in the middle of the road and not budge until they catch up with us! Seriously Nala not everyone wants to pet you!
We had a BBQ the other day and Nala must of ate something she should not of! The morning after was a little rough. I knew she wasn't well when she didn't eat her breakfast! Her stomach was making noises so loud that I could hear it from across the room. No fear though, by dinner time she was back to her old self and eating like a champ! I really have to keep a better watch on her! You know how bulldogs can give you that sad look, like they are so deprived! Peoples don't be fooled!
Sorry I have been away so long from the blog. Guess one gets lazy during the summer months. Not that we have done much this summer. We have pretty much been doing a stay cation all summer long. Nala is okay with that! The hot weather does not agree with bulldogs and their preference is the couch and the air conditioning on high!
We now look further to going for evening walks in the cooler air and meeting up with our other dog friends. A few months ago Nala lost one of her dog pals, Bailey the boxer. She was up there in age 9 or 10 which is old for a boxer. She was such a sweet girl and we will miss her very much!
Today we have moved out the old furniture in the family room to make way for new furniture being delivered tomorrow! Nala is confused by the empty room! 'What's going on here?! Where's the green couch?! Hope they don't take my couch in the living room too!"
Don't worry Nala there is just going to be more options for you to practice your art of the nap! …
