MLK Monday

I was lucky and delighted  enough to be home on this Martin Luther King holiday. Nala was sure happy that I was home too, looking to me to play with her by the minute. We played fetch and then I gave her a bully stick to munch on. After the bully stick proved to be boring I decided to break out the Kong and place some au natural peanut butter in it. That did work for a good half hour or so, with her making loud sucking noises through the large end as she tried for the last bit of peanut butter clinging to the sides.

"I know you're in there peanut butter!"

I leave you with a quote from MLK, one that I think I will add to my daily list of mantras!

“Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.”
